Katie M. Susong is a PhD candidate researching the environmental limits defining the expansion of Ae. albopictus in the United States. Her research includes leveraging field and laboratory studies to develop novel predictions of Ae. albopictus in the U.S. that accounts for the complex use of microhabitats by these arthropods. Katie’s research interests include the impact of climate change and human development on the risk and prevalence of disease vectors and infectious disease. Katie completed her Masters at the University of Glasgow, UK in Quantitative Method in Biodiversity, Conservation, and Epidemiology.
